Lesson Plan

Acting
The fundamentals of acting such as positioning, breathing, taking notes.

Production
Performing with a cast, monologs, improv.

Story telling
Telling a story as a group or by yourself. With focus on climactic order, emphasis, and timing. Cape Breton folklore will be performed using story telling and acting.

Story planning
Writing a script or drawing an outline.

Costume designing
Picking and choosing different pieces of clothing to suit a character.

Set design
Drawing, planning and discussing what you want the set to look like.

Planning a show
A final show, to be planned with the students.

Puppet Work
Using team work to operate Japanese style puppets.

Make Up
Using theater makeup to age and create injurys.
